Services

Surgery

We have complete, sterile, surgical facilities for a variety of cases. We routinely provide a wide range of surgical services including neutering, spaying and declawing.

During surgery patients are given inhalation gas anesthesia and are carefully monitored with equipment that measures their pulse and heart rate. We are strong believers in our pets being pain-free during and after surgery, so pain medication is always administered to ease recovery.

Some of the types of surgery we perform at Orchard View Veterinary Clinic include:

  • Spays and neuters
  • Feline declaws
  • Growth and mass removals
  • Cyrosurgery
  • Dental surgeries
  • Exploratory surgery
  • Hernia repairs
  • Ear hematomas
  • Enuclation (eye removal)
  • Cystotomies (bladder surgery)
  • Cesarean Sections
  • Taildock/Dewclaw removals
  • Entropian eye repairs
  • Cherry eye repair and/or removal

Please call our office today if you have questions, or would like to schedule a surgical appointment or consultation for your pet.

Behavior

Do you have questions about potty-training your new puppy? Why is your adult cat suddenly pottying where she isn't supposed to? How should you attempt to crate train your "older" adopted dog? How do I get my cat to stay off the furniture?

From puppy and kitten-hood through even the most mature years, our friendly and knowledgeable staff can help counsel, advise and teach you all about those behaviors that have you boggled.

Advice is given on a case by case basis, so just give us a call if you have a question!

Nutrition

Sometimes pets develop conditions requiring a food change, from the type you would find at the local pet store to a prescription diet only found at a veterinarian's office. Our veterinarian will help you make the right decision should your pet's dietary needs change. Orchard View Veterinary Clinic carries Hill's Prescription Diet foods, and we can special order other specialty foods if desired.

Geriatric Care

We encourage comprehensive health screenings and early detection programs for aging pets. Our doctor can provide a variety of services, blood work and dietary management your older pet needs for continued health. This is especially pertinent for those pets with joint and skeletal issues who may need our help with pain management.

Microchipping

We are strong believers in the importance and life-saving benefits of microchips! If your pet isn't microchipped already; what are you waiting for?

Microchips are a safe, permanent means of identification. Unlike collars and tags that can slip away, or be taken off, a microchip stays with your pet forever. Call today to schedule an appointment.
